Based in New York, NY, with roots in Colorado, Charlie is quickly becoming one of the most accomplished bassist and composers of his generation. A two time YoungArts winner; Charlie is currently a student at The New School in New York.
Charlie began his professional bass career at fifteen, with leaders Ricky Sweum, Daryl Gott, Max Moore, Reid Poole, Tim Stombaugh, Harold Summey, Matt Horanzy, The Acted Distracteds, and many more throughout Colorado, and now in New York.
He has lead groups performing jazz standards and original music, at venues: Muse Performance Space, Dazzle Denver, Armadillo Ranch, Tokki, Telluride Jazz Festival, The Mining Exchange, to name a few.
Charlie has had the pleasure of studying with Marc Neihof, Jason Crowe, Or Bareket, and Ben Street.
